Born and raised in Mill Valley, California, Marilyn has always
had sensitivity toward the beauty of nature and the excitement of travel.
As her interest in photography developed, it was only natural for her to
focus on the grandeur and tranquility of her wilderness and travel experiences.
Marilyn has studied under:
- Ernest Braun
- Kerry Drager
- John Shaw
- Galen Rowell
- Sean Arbabi

| Working in color and black and white, Marilyn uses 35 mm format, both
slides and prints. Her favorite haunts include the Northern California
Coast, the Sierra and deserts of the Southwest. Some of her commercial projects
include images used by Healthy Planet and the San Francisco Bay and Wildlife
Preserve. She is currently a contributing artist at the Artizmo Gallery
located in Northgate, San Rafael, where you will find her greeting cards
and enlargements. Marilyn is an active member of the Marin Photography
Club where her images have gone on to place in the Northern California Council
of Camera Clubs. In addition, she has been selected to show her images
at the Marin County Fair for several years and to have her work displayed
at the Indian Valley Artists exhibit in their gallery at Hamilton. |
